FAQ & Troubleshooting
General Q&A
Q: Why should I vote?
A: Your $GLXY is representative of your stake in the Galaxy DAO. If the Galaxy DAO makes money, that makes your proof of membership more valuable. Ultimately, your own efforts will determine the success of the DAO. Make informed decisions and be a part of the movement that creates value for the NFT space, rather than extracts from it.
-----------
Q: How do I know which proposals to vote on?
A: Before you vote, make sure you DYOR. Each proposal has a title, description, and summary of the transaction to take place. Read each one carefully and maybe even hop onto the discord to discuss your thoughts with other DAO members. A good proposal will have a thorough introduction, convincing rationale, detailed management/operations/financial plan, and a solid track record that demonstrates their ability to carry out the proposed activity feasibly. The more informed about a decision we all are, the better it will be for all of us.
-----------
Q: Why should I create a proposal?
A: Think of it as pitching an idea to Shark Tank, except the judges are the members of the DAO. You get to try and get your brilliant idea funded through the DAO, whether it’s a project you want to launch or an investment opportunity that you want the DAO to take advantage of. On top of that, if your proposal gets passed by the DAO, you receive 1% of the proposed transaction as commission.
-----------
Q: What is the appeal process if my proposal was rejected?
A: For the foreseeable future, there will be no appeal process given the anticipated workload required from the council to review and pass proposals. You do have the option to resubmit a proposal with changes reflecting feedback you received to see if the revised proposal can be passed.
-----------
Q: Will there be compensation for elected community leaders?
A: This is up to each community leader. They will propose their own salary during the election process which should be taken into consideration in your vote.

The DAO vault doesn't always automatically sync with the staking vault.
To resolve this issue, connect your wallet to the staking page. Then, refresh the DAO page and reconnect your wallet. The vault balance should be the same on both platforms.
