Governance Token

Galaxy ($GLXY) is the governance token for the Galaxy DAO which allows members to vote on a 1 $GLXY for 1 vote basis and to create proposals for the DAO's consideration. Users can participate in the DAO voting system by depositing $GLXY into their virtual vault, and then committing their tokens to a particular proposal (yes or no). While voting is ongoing, users will not be able to withdraw their tokens to their wallets or their vaults. Tokens will only be returned to the users' vaults once a vote is over.

Note: In the current live version, $GLXY can only be used to vote on one proposal at a time. In later versions, the same $GLXY token can be used to vote on multiple proposals simultaneously.

How to Acquire $GLXY

There are two ways that you can acquire $GLXY tokens.

1. You can purchase $GLXY on Raydium, DexLabs, Aldrin, and birdeye.

2. You can purchase an ASTRALS from Magic Eden (https://magiceden.io/marketplace/astrals) and stake them on our staking platform. ASTRALS earn around 10 $GLXY per day if all ASTRALS are staked. Please refer to our medium article for more information.
