Reputation (Coming Soon)
Note: The reputation, rating, and election mechanics are still being developed, and they will be integrated into the DAO in future updates.
An important planned feature for the Galaxy DAO is reputation and a "reputation score", which will play a critical role in elections and proposal submissions. Reputation is a non-transferable, non-circulating point that may be earned by holding or staking ASTRALS. Reputation can also be earned by contributing to the organization. It is important to note that a reputation holder does not have absolute ownership of the reputation, and the reputation you have earned can be destroyed through code rules or governance votes. For example, reputation may be deducted by a founder or elected community member when a reputation holder acts against the interests of the organization, or it may be deducted over time or expire in order to avoid the continued influence of early earned reputation, which undermines fairness.
Reputation score will be the basis by which candidates are considered for the election of community DAO leaders. These leaders will be in charge of alpha, design, marketing, governance, community, and development. Additional teams can be proposed and voted on as demanded by the community. Furthermore, a president who will oversee these teams will be elected. The president would also be responsible for communicating each team’s activities on a regular basis to the community. Any elected leader can be voted out of their position at any time.
Reputation Score
The reputation score for a certain user starts at 0 and has no upper limit, with higher scores indicating greater trustworthiness. This score aids in the identification of trustworthy people and so acts as a guideline for DAO leadership. The form of a reputation score serves as a foundation for building confidence among DAO members. When calculating each user's ultimate reputation score, a number of criteria will be taken into account. Here are some objective metrics that will be considered:
1. The number and duration of ASTRALS staked. 2. Contributions to the community and acknowledgement by Founders or Community Leaders. 3. The number of votes cast by community members on DAO and the number of proposals successfully passed. 4. Qualitative measurements based on interactions with other users will be utilized in addition to these quantitative measures.
